Injectables

CSCD can choose from a wide variety of injectable procedures to customize the treatment to the patient's needs. For instance, some products are better for the lower part of the face, while others are better suited to correcting issues with the upper part. The products we use include Botox® Cosmetic, CosmoPlast , CosmoDerm , Juvederm , Radiesse® , Restylane , and Sculptra . Learn more about the most widely used injectables below.

Botox® Cosmetic

As we get older, repetitive movements such as facial expressions create wrinkles in the upper third of the face. By relaxing these muscles, Botox reduces the look of lines in the brow and forehead as well as crow's feet around the eyes, resulting in skin that is smoother and more youthful in appearance. Botox is also useful for other unwanted wrinkles on the face and neck and for excessive sweating disorders.

Because there is no sedative or anesthetic used with Botox, patients can return to normal activities immediately after the procedure. When the product begins to wear off, the wrinkles begin to reappear; however, they frequently are not as deep as the original ones. It usually takes two or three injections each year to maintain the smooth, youthful appearance that is desired.

Having treated over 10,000 Botox patients in the last ten years, Dr. Malouf's extensive experience allows him to safely and effectively treat each patient as a unique individual and customize the approach accordingly.

Restylane®

Restylane is a dermal filler that reverses the effects of aging in the lower part of the face by filling in areas where there is sagging and elasticity loss.

Restylane is a crystal-clear, biodegradable gel, which is injected in tiny amounts with a very fine needle. Dr. Malouf has become known for his innovative technique of application, which employs the use of a dental block and a single needle stick, rather than the multiple-needle stick method used by other surgeons. The result is total patient comfort and instantaneous improvement, producing long-lasting, natural enhancement that is safe and gentle to the skin.
