Through our Med Spa services, CSCD offers a wide range of minimally-invasive, low impact aesthetic treatments designed to recover your skin’s youthful appearance. We offer many services not listed below; feel free to consult with any of CSCD’s physicians and aesthetician for more information.

Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion is a safe and virtually painless skin treatment. A non-invasive, non-surgical procedure that uses a highly controlled spray of fine aluminum oxide crystals to remove the outer layer of skin, microdermabrasion reveals the younger, tighter, and more radiant skin underneath. Common treatment conditions include acne, fine wrinkles, sun damage, age spots and oily skin.

The average microdermabrasion procedure takes less than 30 minutes, depending on the skin condition, the area to be treated and the desired outcome. There is little pain involved, and because there is no anesthesia used, there is minimal risk and no downtime.

Patients will notice improvements in the texture and appearance of their skin immediately after the first treatment.

Peels

Peels work to improve facial skin texture by removing the outer layers of skin and revealing the healthy young skin underneath.

Through a variety of chemical solutions that are customized for each patient’s needs, peels correct facial blemishes such as acne scars, smooth wrinkles and other texture issues, and treat uneven skin pigmentation. Peels can also be used to remove precancerous growths.

Recovery time depends on what kind of peel was done and how deep it was. With all types of peels, proper care of the skin after the peel is very important to speed healing, help results last longer, prevent infection and avoid color changes in the treated area caused by sun exposure.

Other Services

In addition to its comprehensive medical procedures, the Center for Skin and Cosmetic Dermatology also provides additional aesthetic services, including brow waxing, facials and a suite of professional skin care products through a retail area with a dedicated aesthetician. This allows us to offer patients the most effective skin care product lines on the market, along with advice and demonstrations. This retail outlet gives patients access to these products, some of which are only available from a physician, without requiring a doctor’s visit. CSCD is proud to offer the most effective skincare lines on the market such as Obagi, Skinceuticals, Susan Posnick, and Topix.
